A 3-meter-high basalt sculpture of the architect is erected on a platform (0.45 × 10 × 12 m)

made of gray, polished granite.

Tamanyan bends over a huge slab resting on two smaller stones. The left stone symbolizes the old architecture, while the right one is a symbol of a new period of architecture.
