3.The Hague กรุงเฮกเมืองหลวงแห่งการปกครอง

เวลา 14:00 น ออกเดินทางโดยรถไฟจากเมืองร็อตเตอร์ดัม (Rotterdam Centraal Station)

ไปกรุงเฮก (Den Haag Centraal Station) ใช้เวลาประมาณ 30 นาทีก็มาถึงแล้วค่ะ

เนื่องจากสถานที่เที่ยวของเมืองนี้ค่อนข้างไกลกันมากเดินอย่างเดียวคงไม่ทั่ว คุณป๋าเลยซื้อตั๋ว

นั่งรถรางสาย 9 ไปลงสถานี Den Haag, Malieveld

แล้วเดินต่อไปตามถนน Korte Voorhout-Tournooiveld ประมาณ 500 เมตร

มาถึงจุดหมายแล้วค่ะ

สระน้ำขนาดใหญ่อยู่ทางทิศเหนือของ Binnenhof เดิมเป็นแหล่งน้ำธรรมชาติ

และขุดขึ้นมาเป็นสระน้ำของคฤหาสน์ในศตวรรษที่ 13

Binnenhof

The Binnenhof (Inner Court) is a complex of buildings in the city centre of The Hague,next to the Hofvijver. It houses the meeting place of both houses of the States General of the Netherlands, as well as the Ministry of General Affairs and the office of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands. Built primarily in the 13th century, the Gothic castle originally functioned as residence of the counts of Holland and became the political centre of the Dutch Republic in 1584.

The Binnenhof is among the oldest Parliament buildings in the world still in use.

บินเนนฮอฟ เป็นอาคารรัฐสภาที่เก่าแก่ที่สุดในโลกที่ยังเปิดใช้งานทำการอยู่

เดิมที่นี่เคยเป็นคฤหาสน์ของ Count Floris IV of Holland และมีการสร้างอาคารเพิ่มเติมขึ้นรอบๆ

จนถึง ค.ศ.1584 จึงได้เปลี่ยนไปเป็นศูนย์กลางทางการเมืองของประเทศ

Mauritshuis

The Mauritshuis (Maurice House) is an art museum in The Hague.

The museum houses the Royal Cabinet of Paintings which consists of 841 objects, mostly Dutch Golden Age paintings.The collections contains works by Johannes Vermeer, Rembrandt van Rijn, Jan Steen, Paulus Potter, Frans Hals, Jacob van Ruisdael, Hans Holbein the Younger, and others.

Originally, the 17th century building was the residence of count John Maurice of Nassau.

It is now the property of the government of the Netherlands.

Ridderzaal

The Ridderzaal (Hall of Knights) is the main building of the 13th century inner square of Binnenhof. It is used for the state opening of Parliament on Princes'day, when the Dutch monarch drives to Parliament in the Golden Coach and delivers the speech from the throne. It is also used for official royal receptions, and interparliamentary conferences.

Parliament buildings and government buildings shape a rectangle around the Ridderzaal,

creating a large courtyard in front of the building.

The square forms the very heart of Dutch government.

Binnenhoffontein

The Binnenhoffontein is a fountain on the Binnenhof designed by Pierre Cuypers in 1880.

The gilded statue of Willem II of Holland on top of the fountain was designed by Ludwig Jünger .

The neo-gothic fountain is made of wrought iron with a hard stone basin.

The fountain has four coats of arms around it, alternating between the Dutch lion and the German eagle .

The Stadhouderspoort was originally called the Middelpoort. This main entrance to the Binnenhof was the only direct connection between the Binnenhof and Buitenhof. It is one of the four (the most westerly) still existing gates of the Binnenhof complex.

The equestrian statue of King William II guards the Stadtholder's Gate, which dates from 1620.

The Peace Palace

The Peace Palace (Vredespaleis) is an international law administrative building in The Hague.
It houses the International Court of Justice, the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA),
the Hague Academy of International Law and the Peace Palace Library.

WISH TREE

Yoko Ono’s interactive artwork WISH TREE (1996) has been integral to many of her exhibitions around the world in museums and cultural centers where people have been invited to write their personal wishes for peace and tie them to a tree branch.

The World Peace Flame

It is a sign of hope and an instrument for inspiring people to work on a better world. The design of the monument is based on the elements fire, water, earth and air, each depicted symbolically in all its simplicity and naturalness.

The World Peace Flame is a flame in Wales that has been burning non-stop since 1999. Attention is drawn to world peace by spreading this flame. The first world peace flame in the Netherlands was installed on 18 April 2002.

Since 2004, the monument is surrounded by a ring of 196 pebbles and rocks from 196 countries. Some stones carry special meaning; for example, a piece of rubble from the Berlin Wall and a rock from Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for years.

The Pier extending 400 meters into the sea with its islands was built around 1900 as a wooden promenade above the sea. It burned down in 1943, but in 1961 the Pier was rebuilt out of cement.

The famous Pier in Scheveningen is an icon on the Dutch coast.

Ferris wheel on the Pier

It is over 40 meters high and has 36 closed gondolas with air conditioning, including one luxury VIP gondola with a glass bottom. From the Ferris wheel visitors have a panoramic view of the sea,

the beach and The Hague's skyline.a ride on the Ferris wheel lasts 20 minutes.

55 Euro for the VIP gondola

Zipline at the Pier

Visitors can zip line down the 55 meter high Bungy Tower on the Pier reaching a speed of 60-80 kilometres per hour. The total distance is 350 meters. The Zipline is suited for daredevils of all ages, but you have to weigh at least 1 kg. Zipping can be done alone, but it is also possible to do it with two people at the same time. In Spring, the Zipline is opened during the weekends and holidays from 11.00-20.00 hours. From April till September the Zipline is opened seven days a week.
